Caroline’s work is largely biographical and an exploration of motherhood with a particular interest in the societal expectations of women, as mothers. What it means when a woman’s period of fertility declines and for many the realisation that their visibility in society is also diminished.
Much of the subject matter in the work are based on personal relationships with the women in her life, part remembered, part observed.
