I trained at Chelsea School of Art and then studied Fashion and Printed Textiles (BH Hons) at Brighton University.
I draw on my past experience as a textile printer when painting, searching for the incidental patterns in the natural environment. I often use a limited colour palette to simplify and stylise images. My love of watercolours comes from the fact that patterns often appear by chance from the interplay of opaque and transparent layers.
My paintings have been selected for the Royal Watercolour Society’s Contemporary Competition, exhibiting at Bankside Gallery, London, 2017 & 2018.
